Weekend in Review
As you may or may not know, I am an avid athletic supporter. I love my boys! I played sports, well, I was on teams, anyhoo, I do love to support my boys in their sporting endevors as much as I enjoy watching them perform said endevors. I may not go to a lot of games, but I do give my cash at fund raisers and, such as in this case, bring light to their team.
SO, Friday night I went to LA with my good friend Jake and a teammate of his, Jay, and Jake's friend from work.

So, a quick summary of my "maiden voyage" in WeHo is this, it's pretty clean. LOL I had fun, don't get me wrong, but it's just another collection of gay bars in a gayborhood. I did get to see my cute hottie friend Jeremy though, which was fun. (GRRRR!)Jake plays for the San Diego Armada Rugby team, the mostly gay ruby team here in town. (There are a couple cute straight boys who play) He invited me to come up with him to watch him play as I've never seen him actually touch non-human balls! LOL The tournament started Saturday morning and we went up the night before.
I've only been to Los Angeles once and we had only went out to the Faultline. Friday, we stayed in the heart of beautiful West Hollywood (WeHo) at the Ramada Inn. Outside our window was the Collar and Leash. Sorry boys, not what we were thinking. It's some sort of pet store!
Saturday, we all got up and headed to breakfast before the tournament. (Exciting, I know.) After breakfast, we headed to Venice for the tournament. LA is flat, and full of stop lights. They need to get that shit timed better!
The tournament was between the SF Fog, SD Armada, and the LA Rebellion. (Tourney pics, well of my boys)

San Diego did win their first game and I must say, I was impressed with my boys.
I wish I could say I got to know any of the LA team, but they seemed kinda standoffish. I did meet a few of the boys from the SF team, and they were a hoot!
After the tourney, everyone headed over to the Roosterfish. It's a quaint little bar in Venice Beach where the after party was held. If one didn't go to the bathroom, one might even mistake if for a straight bar! Once in the bathroom though, a look at the ceiling gives it's true nature away!
Naked boys all up on the Roosterfish men's room ceiling.
Overall, I had a great time! Have loved Rugby for a long time, and to be able to get the chance to travel and support my local boys was great. They played well and everyone seemed to have fun, which is the point, right?! I want to just give some props to all the guys who played and all the other athletic supporters who were there. Also, thanks for taking me Tink and thanks to Jay for driving! ;-)
Sunday, I did chores around the house before heading to a friend's house to watch a movie and hang out. Later, I went to The Hole to meet up with people, but everyone seemed to be in Palm Springs for their Leather Pride weekend. I had one drink and headed up to PECS. A good friend of mine who use to live here was in town and I got to hang out with him and the rest of that crew. Had a great time! Actually, spent most of my night laughing. I did meet a hot Newfie at the Eagle later, but that isn't much of a story.... YET!
Oops, forgot to tell you that Lady Gaga's Bad Romance was the theme song of the whole weekend. Too bad after Rah Rah, nobody knows ANY of the words! Rah rah ramada, Rama da hotel? HUH, WHA?!?

Watch Out For Stacy
Remember this?
Stacy: Well, don't you want to open your present?
Wayne Campbell: If it's a severed head I'm going to be very upset
Stacy: Open it.
Wayne Campbell: What is it?
Stacy: It's a gun rack.
Wayne Campbell: A gun rack... a gun rack. I don't even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?
Stacy: You don't like it? Fine. You know Wayne, if you're not careful, you're going to lose me.
Wayne Campbell: I lost you 2 months ago. We broke up. Are you mental? Get the net!
Yeah, it's funny until YOU are the one getting the gun rack! The line "gun rack... a gun rack. I don't even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?" has been in my head for a while now, and that scene always made me giggle.
(Actually, I inherited a number of guns and grew up shooting. I am not too bad of a shot. I could probably use a gun rack! LMAO!!!)
I once had an ex who, 2 months after we broke up, showed up out of the blue with a $600 bbq for my birthday. I made them take it back. We eventually became friends and we laughed about the bbq only for it all to end in a fatal crash. I found out about it 2 days after it happened which was also the day after my grandmother passed. Talk about a rough week! Their birthday was the 28th of October, and I woke up thinking about them.
Just watch out for the Stacys though!
WHAT?!?! You thought I'd show the rabbit? EWWWW! I may have a sick and twisted sense of humor, but I'm not cruel!

Funny!
In the South Pacific, there was a tribe that created different throwns, each year, for their King, as a way of praising him. To store them, that the King added a second story to his grass house, where he lived. Unfortunately, the number of thrones proved to be too heavy and it colapsed, killing the King. The High Preist, looking at the mess noted, "People who live in Grass Houses shouldn't stow thrones."
Thanks for sharing this Daddy John!
